Impact on agricultural

The increase in greenhouse gas and the rise in the mean temperature will affect both plant and animal production.

Temperature
An increase in temperature and the subsequent longer growing season will benefit crop production and allow for the introduction of new crops into areas where they could not previously be grown. This increase in temperature will also allow the introduction of new pests, molds and diseases.

Moisture
All crops and animals rely on water. Increased temperatures will change weather and precipitation patterns. In general, it is anticipated that the quality and quantity of water resources in the interior parts of the country will be reduced while increased precipitation and flooding may occur along the coastlines. Changing weather patterns will also increase the occurrence of severe weather like hail and wind which will also adversely affect plants and animals.

Changing Concentrations of Carbon Dioxide
Plant growth may be affected by the increase in carbon dioxide concentrations.
