Agricultural Awareness Partnership

The CCAF Agricultural Awareness Partnership is a three-year project that aims to increase the awareness of producers and the public on greenhouse gas issues and solutions.

The Partnership is funded by the Government of Canada’s Climate Change Action Fund, which was established in 1998 to help Canada meet its commitments under the Kyoto Protocol.

Who we are:

The Agricultural Awareness Partnership is a partnership of agricultural and conservation groups dedicated to promoting sustainable practices related to greenhouse gas mitigation in the agriculture industry.

Each group plays a unique role within the partnership and brings a particular expertise to the table.

The goals of the CCAF Agriculture Awareness
Partnership are to
:

  • Increase awareness of producers and the general public of greenhouse gas (GHG) issues and solutions (carbon sequestration, emission reductions) relative to the agrifood industry.

  • Build and strengthen the national network of organizations, agencies, and institutions that can contribute to agricultural solutions to GHG issues.

  • Identify and promote Best Management Practices (BMPs).
